No endless scrolling. No decision fatigue
We learn what you love, then pick one film
Our database is built by people who love cinema. Every film was chosen by an editor. We want to be your friend with good taste, not a content delivery system
We built our own algorithm. Every film carries dozens of parameters, and each rating you give sets off a process underneath that maps what kind of cinema actually moves you
After the algorithm narrows things down to a shortlist, AI checks the mix for variety, so your picks stay surprising instead of circling the same few notes
Three layers, one result. Human treatment sets the foundation, the algorithm reads your taste, AI keeps it sharp. What reaches you is a single film chosen by all three
One new film a day, chosen for your taste. The more you rate, the better it gets at reading you, so each pick lands closer than the last
No streaks, no pressure. Watch at your own pace, nothing resets and nothing can be bought. Every film you rate moves you forward
Few times a week our curators hand-pick a film worth your evening. The kind that slipped past the spotlight but absolutely shouldn't have. Every past pick stays in the archive, so there's always something waiting for you
The "what do we even watch today" argument, finally over. Group Pick reads everyone's taste at once and lands on the one film you'll all actually agree on
The host needs Pro to start a session, but everyone they invite joins for free
Build your own lists from a catalog of over 900,000 films and TV shows. Sort by director, decade, occasion, or whatever makes sense to you
You climb by watching, and each level changes how you see film. There are rewards along the way, but the point isn't what you unlock, it's how much more you notice
Link your TMDB account and One Film knows what you've already watched from day one. No fresh start required
Add your watch history to exclude films you've already seen
One Film reads your TMDB history and skips everything you've seen, so no pick is ever a repeat
Mark something Seen in One Film and it flows back to TMDB on its own, keeping both in step
Fully optional. One Film works great without it
The core app is free: your daily pick, the Hub with your full taste profile, and your archetype as it grows. Pro adds Curator's Pick, custom lists, and Group Pick for €4.99/month or €39.99/year, with a 7-day free trial. We'll never paywall what already works
iOS only for now. There are no plans for Android at the moment, though that may change down the line. One Film is built to feel native to the platform, and we'd rather do one thing well than ship a watered-down version everywhere
No. One Film tells you what to watch, not where. We point you to a single film worth your evening, and you watch it wherever you already have access. No extra library, no extra subscription
Movie metadata comes from TMDB. The editorial picks, the level design, the curated library, and the algorithm itself are entirely ours. Your watch history stays on your account, never sold, never used to train anyone's model. We're GDPR-compliant, and you can delete everything we hold on you at any time
Yes. A quick sign-in keeps your taste profile, archetype, and lists in sync across devices, and you can sign in with Apple, Google, or email
Rate it and move on, that's how the algorithm learns. If it really missed, you get one reroll a day for a fresh pick. The more films you've rated on TMDB, the better we know your taste from the start, since we read your ratings straight from your account
Your next great film is already waiting.
